President - Kevin Kwiatkowski
I am a mechanical engineer, employed full time as a Project Engineer
for a small consulting/engineering firm in Ann Arbor, MI. Through
my day job, I have gained hands on experience in a wide variety
of professional racing arenas including Nextel Cup, Craftsman
Truck, Grand Am (Daytona Prototype), American Le Mans (GTS class),
NHRA Powerade (Pro Stock and Funny Car), SCCA Club Racing (GT2
and F-Prod), and the now defunct North -American Super Touring
Car Series. My normal duties include chassis and part analysis,
design and development. In all these applications lighter weight,
more efficient parts with absolutely zero failure rate are the
only acceptable outcome.
Outside of work, developing my drag race car consumes most of
my time. I run a 1991 front wheel drive Plymouth Laser turbo.
I usually run the car at local test sessions and races as well
as a few NOPI Motorsports events in the Hot Rod class. This project
poses some interesting engineering challenges and keeps my gears
turning. With a few pieces to the puzzle falling into place, hopefully
some low-8’s will happen in 2008.
Every item Kiggly Racing sells was designed for, analyzed for,
and tested on this drag racing project.
On a personal note, I’m not alone in this whole mess. My
wife, Erin, is a major influence on my racing program. She runs
the business side of things and keeps us organized. She is my
crew at racing events and sometimes the only thing that keeps
my head on straight when things get overwhelming.
Effective 10/25/07, we have a new crew member, Tyler. You will
probably find him picking rocks off the tires later this season
as he approaches a year old!
